Program Mission and Description

The Young Professionals Board of Directors at Covenant Preparatory School will consist of a group of young professionals and emerging leaders who all work at Hartford area-based companies.  They will work closely with the Covenant Preparatory School Board of Directors, Head of School, Principal, Development office, and staff, striving to support the mission of Covenant Preparatory School through social events, skills-based volunteering, fundraising, and community outreach, which will build and maintain support for Covenant Prep and its students.  The Young Professionals Board of Directors are aware of and concerned about the inner city educational challenges and will support Covenant Prep’s mission to provide an academically rigorous education to economically disadvantaged youth from the Hartford area, striving to make each boy academically, socially, and morally prepared for higher education.  The Young Professionals Board of Directors will be central in helping to raise the visibility of Covenant Preparatory School.  

Members of the Young Professionals Board of Directors will have the additional unique opportunities to:

• Spearhead individual projects 

• Serve on both small-scale planning committees, such as open bar events, monthly cocktail or holiday parties, and golf tournaments, as well as larger fundraising events, such as the annual Reach Far Benefit Gala 

• Provide Covenant Prep students information about various careers in the Hartford area

• Volunteer for program assignments, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring

• Socialize and network with other young professionals in Hartford
